GIREP 2019 Conference

The Roland Eötvös Physical Society organized the International Conference GIREP 2019 in Budapest. The eLearning Department of SZTAKI provided full IT, methodological and professional support to the organizers and more than 300 participants of the conference from almost 50 countries of the world. |
The Conference of the International Research Group on Physics Teaching (GIREP) and associated organizations (GIREP-ICPE-EPEC-MPTL 2019) was organized July 1-5th 2019 in Budapest, on the premises of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
In order to assure methodological and professional support we prepared, operated and provided continuously growing content of the website of the conference, developed and managed the registration and reviewer service. The registration module handled applications of organizers, presenters and participants, whereas the reviewer module provided support for the selection of lectures, articles, posters (even of different types), in multiple rounds (admission, review, correction, acceptance).

Professionals in related fields of avalanches discussed avalanche symptoms, forecasts and effects during the Avalanche 2022 Conference, organized on the premises of Debrecen University, August 29 – September 1, 2022. Visitors to the conference were world noted researchers, primarily physicists, geologists, and biologists, but there was even a lecture of an internationally famous brain researcher presented. |
