International projects

The implementation of the B-Prepared Horizon Europe project, coordinated by SZTAKI, has started

On 4 and 5 October 2023, the Building PREPAREDness with Collaborative Knowledge Platform, Gamification and Serious Game in Virtual Reality project held its project launch event. The event was attended by project participants from 15 partner institutions from 11 countries.

The aim of the project, which has been awarded the maximum number of points, is to teach European citizens the skills they need to survive disasters. Compared to the state of the art, the value of the project lies in its holistic approach. Location-based and gamified mobile applications and serious VR games that process real events, based on content created and supported by collaborative knowledge management platforms, offer an unprecedented immersive and realistic experience compared to the world of written learning materials, traditional screen applications or multimedia technologies. The aim of the project is to explore and exploit these channels by bringing disaster-prepared playful learning content to European citizens.

The participants in the project have planned the details of the joint work and the framework for professional cooperation through technical presentations and round table discussions. The project has undertaken the development of 4 deliverables, the coordination of which and the pursuit of a common goal is one of the main tasks of the excellent researchers and developers.
